Description:
A simple design and setup reference for creating a Dark / Light themed weapon line for Metin2 private servers.
Concept structure:
- Dark version: sharper contrast, colder textures, stronger shadow effects.
- Light version: cleaner metal, brighter highlights, controlled glow.
- Both versions should share the same weapon silhouette so the set feels consistent.
Suggested weapon line:
- Sword
- Two-handed sword
- Dagger
- Bow
- Fan
- Bell
- Optional weapon costume variants
Implementation notes:
1. Keep folder names readable, for example dark_light_weapons.
2. Use separate icons for Dark and Light variants.
3. Avoid oversized effects that cover the character model.
4. Test both versions with mounts, costumes, and common attack animations.
5. Keep upgrade values balanced so one visual theme is not stronger by default.
Release checklist:
- Models tested in game
- Icons aligned
- item_proto entries checked
- item_list paths checked
- Effects tested on low and high graphics settings
